Situated in the idyllic Aptos Hills, the Central Water District serves an estimated population of 2,700 to 3,000 people within its five square mile service area. The District's water distribution system consists of approximately 23 miles of pipeline, serving 826 residential, public, commercial, and agriculture customers. The Central Water District safely delivers nearly 101 million gallons of drinking water annually, that is sourced from the Purisima and Aromas Red Sands groudwater aquifers.
The Distric adheres to strict regulatory standards that are established by federal, state, and other regulatory agnecies, to ensure its customers receive the highest quality drinking water.
