The Central Water District is excited to announce that it will begin constructing a new production well at 7200 Freedom Boulevard in Aptos.   

The new 600 feet deep well that has a design capacity of 500 gallons per minute, and will replace two of the District's aging wells, ensuring community access to a reliable water source for years to come. 

Included in this project is the construction of a well pump station and the installation of 900 feet of underground piping that connects the new water source to the District's existing water system.      

The estimated 1.5 million-dollar project is fully funded by the District, and the anticipated completion of this project is early 2026.
